PURPOSE: To realize laser scanning with high performance in an optical scanner constituted of a laser beam source, deflector, and hologram.
CONSTITUTION: This device is equipped with a laser beam source 1, deflector 3, and two holograms 4 and 5 provided between the deflector 3 and an image surface 6. When a position on the main scanning direction of the holograms 4 and 5 is expressed as (x), a position in a direction orthogonally crossing the (x) is expressed as (y), distance (x2+y2)0.5 from a hologram center is expressed as (r), the wavelength of the laser beam source 1 is expressed as (λ), and coefficient value is expressed as (c)i, the phase transfer function (x, y) of the two holograms 4 and 5 is expressed by (x, y)=2π/λ[Σcir2i] (provided that (i) is a positive integer and Σ is the total sum of (i)).
