PURPOSE: To correctly advance and speed up learning by preparing a pattern learning history storage part, judging whether a pattern is to be removed or not and controlling the display of the pattern based upon the judged result at the time of repeated learning.
CONSTITUTION: An input pattern and a teacher pattern are respectively stored in an input pattern storage part 1 and a teacher pattern storage part 5 and a neural network part 2 stores an output value calculated from the input pattern through a network in an output pattern storage part 3. A comparing part 4 compares the output value of the neural network part 2 with the value of a teacher pattern corresponding to the input pattern, and when a difference is more than a reference value, a weight computing part 6 updates the weight of the network part 2. A learning history storage part 7 stores the compared results of all learning patterns and a pattern display control part 8 judges whether learning is to be continued or not and stores the judged result in the storage parts 1, 5. When the omission of pattern display is judged, the learning pattern is removed.
