PURPOSE: To prevent read image degradation generated in the case of intermittent sending at the conveyance system of a transmission side image read part under facsimile communication and to make high-quality image reading possible by correcting a read output during a transition period between the conveyance start of an original, in which the amount of conveyed originals is not linear, and the conveyance stop.
CONSTITUTION: A motor driving pulse detection part 22 detects the conveying state of originals from the driving state of an input part driving motor 20 by monitoring a control signal outputted from a motor control part 19 to an input part driving motor 20. Corresponding to the conveying state of originals obtained from the motor driving pulse detection part 22, a video signal correction circuit 16 corrects video outputs during the transition period from the restart of original conveyance from the stop state of originals to the complete stop from the conveying state of originals until making the conveyance amount linear to a time base by using the video outputs during the transition period and video outputs just before that.
