To prevent the simultaneous drawing-in of a mulching film when leaves of root vegetables are pulled out in a self-propelled root-vegetable harvester which digs up root vegetables from the soil covered by mulching film, and pulls out and transfers them to store in a storage container.
In a work of the digging-up and pulling-out of root vegetables cultured on a ridge covered with a mulching film 70, when the root vegetables are pulled out at the starting end of a pulling-out conveyor, the mulching film is brought up together with the root vegetables, and even the mulching film is occasionally drawn into the conveyor. In order to prevent such a trouble, mulching film-pressing rollers are placed below the front end of the pulling-out conveyor. The mulching film-pressing rollers are constructed in such a manner that, when leaf parts of the root vegetables are clamped at the front end of the pulling-out conveyor and sent toward the back and upper direction, only the root vegetables are sent back by the pulling-out conveyor, and a deviser 30 for raising up the leaf part is placed at the front end of the pulling out conveyor.
