PURPOSE: To make processing of two steel pipes simultaneously without generating any state out of sequence by transporting two small diameter steel pipes in array simultaneously to limit the uphill slope of a transport skid to a specified extent.

CONSTITUTION: Every two steel pipes 2 arranged in order on a front face skid 1 are lifted by a chain conveyer with three claws rotatably driven ad the front steel pipe (a) is disposed below and the rear steel pipe (b) above. The uphill gradient θ of a transport skid 4 is set to 0.5-4 degrees according to the size of small diameter steel pipe. The lower steel pipe (a) produces the rolling action by the weight of the upper steel pipe 2b. The upper steel pipe (b) is dropped a soon as the lower steel pipe (a) advances to enable the lateral transport without producing any state out of order.
