Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a compact and practical surface acoustic wave SWA element which has high Q.
CONSTITUTION: An SAW element consists of an SAW exciting IDT(interdigital electrode) 11 and a pair of distribution type reflectors 12 which reflect the SAW with even phases being formed on a crystal substrate. Then the reflecting elements of the reflectors 12 have their widths larger than the electrode element width of the IDT 11 with the placing cycle of the reflecting elements kept constant. Thus the mass adding effect is secured to each reflecting element and the reflection factor of the reflector 12 is increased.
