Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a reproduced picture with satisfactory decoding ability by expressing the edge part of original density by obtaining the reproduced picture to express only a change point to change the original density concerning the part of the original density lower than a threshold value. CONSTITUTION:Even when a character, symbol or graphic, etc., is drawn on a base 101 with the intermediate density under the character, symbol or graphic, etc., like the figure, a frame 103 shown by the figure is set only for the change point of the intermediate density and the other part is displayed by blank excepting for the part where the character, symbol or graphic is drawn. Therefore, the base 101 of the intermediate density is surely recognized and further, the character of 'sei' 102 (Chinese character shown in figure) displayed in the frame 103 is extremely easily observed. In such a way, the threshold value is fixedly set to the comparatively high prescribed level of the original density level and the change point of the original density is displayed as picture data. Thus, the reproduced picture can be extremely easily observed.
