Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure communication of a client with a successor server immediately after succeeding operation between servers.
SOLUTION: A successor server which succeeds to services from a server in which a fault has occurred succeeds to a virtual server name (specific computer name) and updates information indicating the correspondence between the virtual server name and a network address of the server in which a fault has occurred to information indicating the correspondence between the virtual server name and a network address of the successor server (Steps S1 and S2). The successor server also searches a client registered in a database of a name server, and notifies a message for updating information of a name cache table to information indicating the correspondence between the virtual server name and a network address of its own (Steps S3 to S5).
