Title:
NANAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11273732
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To suppress the generation of gas caused by the decomposition of a nonaqueous electrolyte in charge/discharge in a nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery containing a lithium compound acting as an electrolyte using a nonaqueous solvent, and prevent the bulging of the battery caused by the gas generated.

In a nonaqueous electrolyte for a secondary battery containing a nonaqueous solvent such as a carbonate and a lithium compound as the electrolyte, silicone oil represented by formula (where R represents an alkyl group which may be the same or different, n is 0-1000.) is contained in the range of 10-900 ppm in the nonaqueous electrolyte to suppress the generation of gas caused by the decomposition of the electrolyte. The oil secondary product using silicone oil as the base oil is also usable as the silicone oil.
