Abstract:

To provide an organic material and its fiber assembly supporting nanoparticles having oxidation activities without light and exhibiting effects for inhibiting proliferation of bacteria or the like, and invalidation effects for carrying out deodorization and safening of a harmful gas or fine droplets, without using a binder.

The organic material and the fiber assembly exposing the nanoparticles having the excellent functions on the surfaces are obtained by applying a suspension including functional nanoparticles which have an average primary particle diameter of 1 and 100 nm, of which the surfaces are covered with a hydrophilic inorganic compound, and in which at least 30 mass% of the functional nanoparticles is titanium oxide-based nanoparticles covered with the hydrophilic inorganic compound, to at least a part of the surface of an organic material so that the functional nanoparticles may be adsorbed, fixed and supported, and applying a peroxide to the titanium oxide-based nanoparticles.
