Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nanostructured microelectrodes and biosensing devices incorporating the same.SOLUTION: Nanostructured microelectrodes and biosensing devices incorporating the same are disclosed. In one aspect, the invention is characterized in nanostructured microelectrodes (NME). The NME is an electrode which is nanotextured and thus has increased surface area. In another aspect, the invention is characterized in an NME associated with a probe. In a further aspect, the invention is characterized in a plurality of NMEs arranged on a substrate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
