Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the navigation device for a moving body and its display method, by which a confirmation of the present position and a decision of the advance direction are facilitated by displaying simultaneously a base screen and a window screen.
CONSTITUTION: An electronic controller 4A derives the present position of a moving body by outputs from an azimuth sensor 10, a distance sensor 11, and a position information receiver 12, and displays it on a display 1A together with map data read out of a ROM package 2A. This display is executed by dividing it into a base screen in the roughly upper direction of a display screen of the north, and a window screen for setting the advance direction of the moving body to the roughly upper direction of the display screen.
