Abstract:
PURPOSE: To surely recognize a safe route by visualizing invisible information or sufficiently complementing insufficient visual observation information in the status where the visual observation of a navigator is not available, status where no sufficient visual observation of a vessel information can be obtained, and a state where the visual observation is available.
CONSTITUTION: This navigation supporting device is equipped with detectors 21-35 to output its own vessel information representing the position of its own vessel, another vessel information representing the position of another vessel, its own vessel status information representing the posture of its own vessel, obstruction information representing the position of an obstruction, marine meterological information representing meterology, mass memory 11-13 to store a chart and the geographic information of a harbor required for the navigation of a vessel, a computer 1 to generate a scene image from a prescribed position in a prescribed direction based on data outputted from the detectors 21-35 and data stored in the mass memory 11-13, an HMD(head mounting display) 40 to display the scene image generated by the computer 1, and a monitor 50.
