The navigation support device 10 is also provided with a control device 16 to judge whether the ship S can pass below the bridge B from the height Hsb of the ship S above the water level L stored in a RAM 22 and the height Hb of the bridge B above the water level L, and a display 24 to indicate the position Ps of the ship S and the chart C, etc., around the position Ps of the ship S including the bridge B. In the display 24, the bridge B below which the ship S can pass, and a bridge B' below which the ship can not pass are displayed in a visually separated manner.
