Patent Searching and Data

Title:
NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND PROGRAM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002365079
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a navigation system that presents a guiding route expected to be the optimum to the user as a basic route together with other routes and conditions so that the user may select a route in accordance with road conditions when the user drives a vehicle.

A CPU 11 searches the guiding route that is predicted to be the shortest route from the present location of the vehicle driven to a set destination by performing selective routing processing and sets the route. At the time of setting the route, the CPU 11 discriminates whether or not the running track data of the route are stored by reading out running locus data from a running track storing area 16b. When the data are stored, the CPU 11 sets the read-out running locus data as the guiding route. Then the CPU 11 discriminates whether or not an intersecting point from which another route can be selected in accordance with road conditions exists on the guiding route. When the intersecting points exist, the CPU 11 causes a displaying section 14 to display the plurality of selected routes together with the selecting condition.
