Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain the position of own vehicle accurately by mounting a first navigation device having position detecting and transmitting functions on the vehicle, and mounting a second navigation device having a receiving function and a display device on the other vehicle. CONSTITUTION:In a first navigation device 1A in a vehicle A, the position and the bearing of own vehicle A in running or at a stop are specified on the road of a map based on the bearing, the distance data and the like which are inputted from a geomagnetism sensor 2A, a gyroscope 3A and a wheel-speed sensor 4A. A vector (a) expressing the position and the bearing of own vehicle is displayed on a display 16A together with the map. In a second navigation device 1B in a vehicle B, the road map wherein the vehicle A is displayed now is specified by a mesh number based on the data which are received and demodulated through a receiving device 12B. The map is displayed on a display 16B. Furthermore, the vector a' of the vehicle a which is reproduced based on the received position and the bearing data of the vehicle A is displayed on the display 16B.
