To provide a navigation system for obtaining supplemental guide information from the other information processing device through a network based on position information of a car navigation system.
The navigation system (100) is provided with a position detecting means (122) for detecting the current position, a processing means (1210) for displaying route information from the current position to a destination on a corresponding map and implementing a route guide based on the current position, a transmitting/receiving means (166) for transmitting the position information indicating the current position to the other device, and a route correcting means (124) for correcting the route information. When the route guide ends near the preset destination, a data transmitting/receiving means transmits the position information to the other device in accordance with an operation by a user, and receives supplemental route information on the route to the destination inputted by the device operated by the other user. The route correcting means corrects the route information in accordance with the supplemental route information received from the other device. The processing means resumes the route guide in accordance with the corrected route information.
