Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the execution of machining corresponding to high speed high acceleration by reciprocating a slider, provided on a turner base, in the direction of a Z-axis by a linear motor, in a NC machine tool.
SOLUTION: The NC machine tool comprises a slide block 16 provided with a track rail 17 fixed at the turner base 1 and extending in a Z-axis direction orthogonal to an X-axis direction; a slide 18 provided with a cutter reciprocating at high speed high acceleration along the track rail 17 on a basis of the slide block 16; and a drive device to reciprocate the slider 18 along the track rail 17 of a linear guide. The drive device consists of a linear motor coil 19 fixed at the slide block 16 and a linear motor magnet plate 20 incorporated in the slider 18 and is provided with a linear scale 21 to detect a moving amount of the slide 18 and a linear scale detector 22.
