Title:
NEAR INFRARED RAY DECOLORING TYPE RECORDING MATERIAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH06148932
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a recording material which has sensitivity to ray in the region of near infrared and in which printed image part is colored by near infrared ray and which can be read when the same part is printed again by constituting the material respectively of specific cationic dyes with near infrared ray absorptivity and a specific decoloring agent.

CONSTITUTION: The recording material contains the cationic dyes with near infrared ray absorptivity which has absorption in the near infrared region and is expressed by formula I, and the developing agent expressed by formula II. In formula, D+ denotes a cationic ion having absorption in the near infrared region, R1 to R8 denote respectively and individually alkyl group, array group, allyl group, aralkyl group, alkenyl group, sillyl group, heterocyclic group, substituted alkyl group, substituted aryl group, substituted allyl group, substituted aralkyl group, substituted alkenyl group, substituted alkinyl group or substituted sillyl group. Z+ denotes quarternary pyridinium cation, quarternary quinolinium cation or phosphonium cation. When the recording material is irradiated with near infrared ray by combination of the cationic dye with near infrared ray absorptivity and the decoloring agent, absorption of the cationic dye with near infrared ray absorptivity is reduced and the material is decolored.
