To provide a needle plate for an apparatus for the needling of a fleece to ensure the firm bonding of a synthetic substance coating to a plate member without necessitating the additional operation cost.
The needle plate 1 for an apparatus for the needling of a fleece is provided with a plate member 2 made of a light metal alloy, especially a magnesium-aluminum alloy and a synthetic substance coating 3 scattered on the plate member 2 at a side directing toward the tip of the needles. The plate member 2 composed of an extruded profile cut to a prescribed uniform length as far as possible has a groove 7 having under-cut edges at the side of the plate covered with the synthetic substance coating 3 and the under-cut groove 7 is completely filled with the scattered synthetic substance coating 3.
