At least one needle board which can be reciprocated in the punching direction of the needle punching device for a fiber web can additionally be reciprocated in a fiber web-passing direction (15) by the use of an eccentric wheel-driving device which has a connection rod (3) pivotally attached to a swing lever (4) and a needle board-linking arm (8) engaged with the connection rod (3). The swing bearing (5) of the swing lever (4) is placed on a crank art (6) whose position can be rotated and changed, and in order to change the swing width of the needle board, the average swing position of the swing lever (4) can substantially be adjusted between a final end position extended in the direction of the linking arm (8) and a final end position extended at a right angle to the direction of the linking arm (8).
