Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lift a needle roller in the direction to separate from a brush roller under configuration wherein the energy consumption is small, and return it to the original location again by providing each needle roller in such a manner that it can be freely lifted from the brush roller under a state being attached to a rotary frame.
SOLUTION: A needle roller 15 is rotated to the operating position by a revolver type rotary frame. In order to lift such a needle roller 15 in the direction to separate from a back-up roller 20 following the rhythm of a machine, rollers 30, 31 relatively operate with the working surface of the end part 11 of each needle roller 15 at the operating position. By this method, the needle roller is lifted from the brush roller 20 which is the back-up roller by resisting to the reaction of a spring 18. As a result, the needle is prevented from engaging with a web material 33 which passes the brush roller 20.
