End parts T12-T52 of a plurality of threads drawn respectively from a plurality of bobbin windings are hung down onto a thread tension trestle 32 and are held. A thread clamp 36 sucks these thread end parts and catches them on the back of thread end parts T12-T52 of threads to be selected from held threads T11-T51. A thread press 327 on the thread tension trestle is fitted on the bottom part of the thread tension trestle 32 and this thread press 327 on the thread tension trestle is positioned in the vicinity of the front of each thread end parts T12-T52. On the thread press 327 on the thread tension trestle, holes facing to suction hole of the thread clamp 327 between which the thread end parts T12-T52 are placed are respectively passed through. The original thread side end part of the needle thread and a thread to be caught by the thread clamp 36 are bound with a knotter 34.
