A magenta coloring agent expressed by general formulae (I), (II) is produced from aggregates of coloring agent primary particles and wax- containing resin polymer primary particles obtained by seed polymerization by using wax fine particles as seeds. The obtained coloring agent is deposited and fixed to resin particles containing no coloring agent to manufacture the toner particles.
