Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a negative electrode material for a lithium ion battery, which can be suitably used for a negative electrode of a lithium ion battery and uses silicon.SOLUTION: In a negative electrode material for lithium ions according to the present invention, silicon particles 12 having conductivity are adhered, as an active material, to a collector 10, the silicon particles being obtained by pulverizing silicon single crystals comprising a silicon base material doped with impurities that impart conductivity. Silicon particles comprising a silicon base material doped with boron as impurities may be used as the silicon particles 12 having conductivity. The negative electrode material may be used with an addition of a conductive assistant.
