Abstract:
To provide a method of dividing a data model of an object generated by lamination modeling.SOLUTION: A method involves receiving a data model of an object generated by lamination modeling on a processor. A virtual modeling volume containing at least a partial representation of an object may be divided into a plurality of nested segments including core segments and peripheral segments. Division of the virtual modeling volume may include determination of a size of the peripheral segments based on at least one of a geometry of the object and an intended object property.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
