Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a net zero energy propulsion method for aircraft and a net zero energy aircraft.SOLUTION: There is provided a net zero energy aircraft including: a fuselage; a propulsion device 18 having a fan 18b for propulsion; a rotary fluid machine 30; and an energy conversion device having a heat pump HP thermally coupled to a closed power cycle CPC. Further, the net zero energy aircraft includes: a compressor; a power storage unit which supplies stored electric power; a pulse power source which generates pulse electric power by utilizing the stored electric power; a high-enthalpy converter which is supplied with the pulse electric power to generate heat up to a predetermined temperature and generates a high-enthalpy power fluid from a high-temperature, high-pressure operation fluid; a supply duct member 20a which extends from the high-enthalpy converter to a rotary fluid machine through a nacell and supplies the high-enthalpy power fluid to the rotary fluid machine; a return duct member 20b; a rotary expansion machine; a cooler; and an electricity generator, part of generated electric power being stored. Also, there is provided a net zero energy propulsion method for aircraft.
