Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce a data quantity of a database (MIB) of network management and to make initializing work efficient in the case of the same network element.
CONSTITUTION: For example, a line interface and a board are defined to be management objects (MO) in a cross connector XC1, and JP/NTT/TN/XC1/Line Interface 1 of an absolute name DN is stored in an attribute 1 of the line interface 11 in a management object 11 and a board name DN=JP/NTT/TN/XC1/ Bay1/Board1 is stored in an attribute 2. A lower part from the XC1 on a tree including the MO, that is, a local identification number LDN=Line Interface, LDN=Bay/Board1 only are used for a secondary storage medium. The ND in the main storage device and the LDN in the secondary storage medium 16 are converted with each other.
