PURPOSE: To provide a network element which has a small size, can be installed safely, and.can be suitably used for a pull-up (pull-down) resistor or noise removing capacitor.

CONSTITUTION: A jumper function is given to a network element in such a way that an individual terminal electrodes 2z, 2a, 2b,..., 3z, 3a, 3b,... are respectively formed at both side edges of an insulating substrate 1 and a common electrode 5 is formed on the surface of the substrate 1 on one side edge side of the substrate 1. Then resistor films 4a, 4b,... are formed between the common electrode 5 and the terminal electrodes 2a, 2b,... at the other side edge of the substrate 1. In addition, conductor films are respectively formed on the rear surface of the substrate 1 between each corresponding terminal electrodes 2a and 3a, 2b and 3b,... It is possible to use a capacitance element instead of the above-mentioned resistance element.
