To provide broadcast program-related information from a server to a communication terminal, and also, to provide services such as program recording reservation for a video recorder by connecting the server and the communication terminal of a network, after connecting the server for executing services such as provision of the broadcast program-related information to a general-purpose network such as the currently-rapidly-spreading Internet.
The network service system is provided with the server BSV which is connected to a communication network INT, holds data of the broadcast program-related information related to the broadcast programs, and executes the services for providing the broadcast program-related information, a first communication terminal TM1 connected to the communication network, and also, connected with a recorder for recording the broadcast programs, and a second communication terminal TM2 connected to the communication network and different from the first communication terminal TM1. The second communication terminal receives the data of the broadcast program-related information from the server, and transmits the recording reservation information for making a request for the recording reservation of the broadcast programs to the server. The server transmits a recording reservation command to the first communication terminal on the basis of the recording reservation information.
