The network type control system comprises: control object equipment for controlling the state of a control object process; a measuring device 20A for measuring a state quantity of the object process; and a control device 40 connected to the control object equipment and the measuring device 20A via a network 30 for performing feedback control of the control object equipment on the basis of a measurement value of a state quantity of the control object process measured by the measuring device. The network type control system has means for calculating a communication delay time in the network, and means for reducing information quantity transmitted to the network for performing the feedback control when the communication delay time exceeds a prescribed value.
