Title:
NEUTRAL PARTICLE INJECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0954180
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make the production of a neutralization cell small in size and having a simple structure possible by using a magnetic shield composed of a high temperature superconducting material in a neutralization cell part.

In a neutralization cell part C, the inside is maintained in a high vacuum state by a vacuum vessel 3, a gas cell 2 with a magnetic shield is provided inside the vessel 3, and furthermore, a limiter 1 is set in the inside thereof. The cell 2 of the cell part C is made of a high temperature superconducting material having a critical point of substantially the same temperature as liquid nitrogen temperature. Accordingly, sufficient outside magnetic field shield effect can be obtained without making it a multiplet structure like a conventional magnetic shield. Consequently, because the gas cell 2 with the magnetic shield composed of the superconducting material perform both duties of the magnetic shield in the neutralization cell and the gas cell in a neutral particle incident device, it can be made very small in size and to have a simple structure.
