Abstract:
To provide a sizing agent for paper-making use exhibiting excellent sizing effect under a neutral paper-making condition of pH 6 or above.
The objective neutral sizing agent for paper-making use is an aqueous dispersion of (A) an esterified product produced by the reaction of (a) a rosin, (b) a hydroxyl-containing petroleum resin and (c) a polyhydric alcohol and/or (B) a reinforced product of the ester A or (C) a mixture of the ester A and a fortified rosin.
