Title:
NEUTRON INCIDENT DIRECTION DETECTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2018013378
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which, although the conventional technique arranges a plurality of detectors for specifying an incident direction of neutrons, the position at which the detectors are arranged is decided or limited due to the principle of specifying the incident direction, and no degree of freedom for the arrangement is found, leads to large limitations for appearance or shape when designing a detector and makes it difficult to employ such a detector for a wearable type detector which requires sufficient redundancy.SOLUTION: A neutron incident direction detector is used by mounting a plurality of neutron detectors on a human body, having an action to decelerate the neutrons, the moisture containing object, polyethylene, and the like (hereinafter, referred to as a moderator), and the direction of the neutron source can be specified by comparing the counts of the detection part. Moreover, if the plurality of neutron detectors is not overlapped each other when mounted on the moderator, and the arrangement of the detectors is not limited, and thus, sufficient redundancy can be given to a change of the appearance shape by being attached to a flexible material such as a cloth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
