NEW MATERIAL: A compound of formula I [X is O, >NR (R is H, a 1-12C alkyl, a 3-6C cycloalkyl, a carbocyclic 6-10C aryl or the like); R3 and R4 are H, a halogen, a 1-4C alkyl, a 1-4C alkoxy or the like; and n is 1, 2].
EXAMPLE: 8-[4,4-bis(4-fluorophenyl)-3-butenyl]-4-methylene-2-oxo-1-oxa-3,8- diazaspiro[4, 5]decane.
USE: Effective for the treatment of chronic schizophrenia, manic-depressive psychosis, excitation, anxiety in psycho-motor, and the other psychosis.
PROCESS: 2-Oxo-3,8-diazaspiro[4, 5]decane derivative of formula II (R1 forms methylene together with R2), is reacted with a diphenylalkene derivative of formula III (Y is a halogen, 1-4C alkylsulfonyloxy, or arylsulfonyloxy), to obtain the compound of formula I in which the group X is >NR.
