Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new acetylenic derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate of vitamins A and E.
CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [R1 is phenyl or a group of formula II (R2 is a 1-11C saturated aliphatic group, 2-11C unsaturated aliphatic group of 1 to 3 double bond or the like; R3 is H, a 1-14C saturated aliphatic group or the like; R4 is hydroxy or a 1-4C alkylcarbonyl); R5 is a 1-4C saturated aliphatic group; R6 is a group of formula -CH2CH2R7 (R7 is H, 1-9 saturated aliphatic group or the like)], for example, the compound of formula III, is obtained by reacting an acetylenic derivative of the formula R1-C≡C-H with an allylic derivatives of formula IV or V (X is a halogen, methanesulfonyloxy or the like) in the presencce of a cuprous derivatives such as CuCl and an anhydrous tertiary amine preferably at a temperature of 40°C-80°C.
