Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a peptide useful as a pharmaceutically active component of human and veterinary medicaments for the treatment of retrovirus related disorders.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I [W is amino protecting group or formula II (R3 is H, alkyl or aryl); each of A, B, D, E and L are a direct bond, formula III (m is 1 or 2) or formula IV (p is 0-2); R4 is H, alkyl or phenyl; R5 is H, cycloalkyl, aryl, etc.; Y is NHR10 (R10 is cycloalkyl or alkyl); R1 and R2 are cycloalkyl, alkyl or alkenyl] or their salt, e.g. Nα-{N8δ-{Nα-{1-[2-(1,1- dimethylethoxycarbonyl)amino-2-methyl]propanoyl}-(S)-asparaginyl}-1-[5-(S)- amino-6-cyclohexyl-4-(S)-hydroxy-2-(1-methyl)ethyl]-hexanoyl}-(S)-isoleucinyl-2- pyridylmethylamide.
