Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new compound capable of bonding to the surface of gold in a lot of points and easily forming a stable self-organized film on the surface of gold by introducing a disulfide group in phthalocyanine.
SOLUTION: This new compound of phthalocyanine derivative is a compound expressed by formula I (A is a 2-18C alkylene), e.g. 2, 3; 9, 10; 16, 17; 23, 24-tetra [6, 6'-dithiobis (hexyloxy)]phthalocyanine. The compound of formula I is produced by a method or the like, e.g. by reacting 4,5-dihydroxyphthalonitrile expressed by formula II with a dithiodialkoxydisulfonate expressed by the formula: RSO2O-A-S-S-A-OSO2R [R is a (halo)alkyl, a (halo)aryl or a nitroaryl] in a solvent at 40-80°C to obtain a 4,5-(dithiodialkoxy)phathalonitirile expressed by formula III which is subsequently heated with a base (e.g. lithium 1-pentilate) at 120-150°C.
