Abstract:

To provide an easily available β-glucocerebrosidase activation agent and a skin care preparation effective for improving the formation of a cuticle layer transmission barrier by the activation of β-glucocerebrosidase and accordingly expectable to have an effect for ameliorating roughened skin.

The galactosylceramide analog is expressed by general formula (1) or (2) (X and Y are each S or O; R1 and R2 are each a 9-35C alkyl or alkenyl; and R3 is a 2-30C alkyl or alkenyl).
