Title:
NEW MICROORGANISM AND BIOLOGICAL DECOMPOSITION OF DICHLOROPROPENE, AND ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANING AND RECOVERY USING THE SAME
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3437377
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain Pseudomonas species Q27 strain, a new microorganism that is capable of dichloropropene resolving power and useful for biological cleaning and recovery of environments, such as dichloropropene-containing waste water and dichloropropene-polluted soil and air.
SOLUTION: This Pseudomonas sp. Q27 strain (FERM-P-15686), which has power of resolving dichloropropenes, such as cis-1,3dichloropropene and trans-1,3- dichloropropene, is obtained by culturing the strain in a culture medium composed of soil taken from the Kanto loam mixed with a 1,3- dichloropropenecontaining medium, and transferring the formed colonies into another 1,3-dichloropropene-containing medium. This new strain enables efficient biological resolution of 1,3dichloropropenes contained in aqueous media, soil and air and also efficient cleaning of, and recovery from, such an environment as 1,3-dichloropropene-contaminated aqueous media, soil and air.
