To isolate and identify a microorganism having high DCM (dichloromethane)-decomposing activity, to provide a DCM-treating agent containing such the microorganism, and to provide a method for decomposing the DCM by using such the microorganism.
There is provided the microorganism belonging to Hyphomicrobium zavarzinii and having the dichloromethane-decomposing ability.
