Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a new microorganism, capable of easily and rapidly suppressing the bulking of molds for a long period without using a flocculant or a germicide and useful as a microorganism capable of producing a growth inhibitor, etc., of filamentous bacteria.
CONSTITUTION: The new microorganism is OS-4 strain (FERM P-13284) belonging to the genus Acinetobacter. Furthermore, this cultured microbial cell is preferably added in an amount of 0.005-1.0 based on 1.0 dry weight of activated sludge thereto.
