Abstract:

To provide a new compound employable as a catalyst for synthesizing ammonia from nitrogen without requiring formation of hydrogen and to provide a production method and a use method of such an ammonia synthesis catalyst and an intermediate compound used for the production of such an ammonia synthesis catalyst.

For example, a molybdenum complex of a structure represented by formula (II) is exemplified. In the formula,iPr denotes i-propyl; Me denotes methyl; and Ph denotes phenyl.
