Abstract:
To provide compositions for vascular embolization and cancer treatment excellent in drug delivery, stability and low toxicity in chemoembolization, as compared with the problems of microbeads and inorganic nanoparticles currently used as chemoembolization particles in intra-arterial chemoembolization.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a composition for vascular embolization and cancer treatment which comprises a nanoparticle containing an anionic polymer and a trivalent metal chloride, and a cationic drug. The anionic polymer is preferably carboxymethyl cellulose and/or dextran sulfate, the trivalent metal chloride is preferably iron chloride (III), aluminum chloride etc., and the cationic drug is preferably doxorubicin.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
