Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a lens material having a high refractive index, a high Abbe' s number, high heat resistance and good adhesion to mold in cast polymerization by polymerizing a mixture comprising a (meth)acrylate, a specified composition containing divinylbenzene, a polymercapto compound and am oxazoline compound.
SOLUTION: This lens material is obtained by polymerizing a mixture comprising 10-90wt.% at least one (meth)acrylate compound having 2-6 (meth) acryloyl groups in the molecule, 0 to below 80wt.% composition comprising divinylbenzene and a monounsaturated compound having one aromatic vinyl group or (meth)acryloyl group in the molecule, 10-60wt.% at least one polymercapto compound having at least two mercapto groups in the molecule and 0.01-20 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. total of the above three components, oxazoline compound having at least one oxazoline ring and represented by the formula (wherein R is an m-valent hydrocarbon group; and m≥1).
