To provide a new optically active macrocyclic compound capable of identifying asymmetry of an asymmetric compound, especially, capable of identifying asymmetry of an asymmetric compound incapable of hydrogen-bonding, to provide a production method for such optically active macrocyclic compound, and to provide an optical purity determination reagent and an optical purity determination method using the same.
There is provided an optically active macrocyclic compound represented by general formula (1). [In the formula, X represents a bivalent aromatic group containing a porphyrin ring; Y represents O, S or a 1C-10C bivalent organic group containing no aromatic ring; Z represents H, a 1C-20C univalent organic group, nitro, (protected) amino, azide or a halogen; and * represents axial asymmetry of binaphthyl].
