Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel peptide having binding affinity to chalcopyrite for separating enargite and chalcopyrite, and application thereof.SOLUTION: A peptide is selected from: (a) a peptide containing a specific amino acid sequence; (b) a peptide containing the amino acid sequence of (a) in which one or more amino acid residues have been substituted, deleted, or added, and which has binding affinity to chalcopyrite; and (c) a peptide having 90% or more sequence identity as the specified amino acid sequence and a peptide having binding affinity to chalcopyrite. A nucleic acid encoding the peptide, a vector containing the nucleic acid, and a transformant into which the vector is introduced are desirable. Also provided is a method for separating chalcopyrite includes adding microorganisms that present the peptide on the surface thereof or a carrier onto which the peptide is immobilized into a liquid in which mineral particles containing chalcopyrite are dispersed. Provided is a method for separating the chalcopyrite by passing the liquid dispersion through a column comprising the immobilized carrier.SELECTED DRAWING: None
