Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new phenylacetamide deriv. having superior anti- inflammatory and analgesic activities, little skin irritation and little toxicity.
CONSTITUTION: The phenylacetamide deriv. is a compd. of formula I [X is H, halogen, OH, NO2, NH2, NR1, NR1R2, NHR1 or OR1; R1 and R2 are individually substd. or unsubstd. 1-2C alkyl, cycloalkyl or benzyl; Y is H, halogen, methylenedioxy, OH, CF3, R3 or OR3; R3 is substd. or unsubstd. 1-8C alkyl or benzyl; (n) is an integer of 1-6; and (p) is an integer of 1-5] or its pharmacologically acceptable salt, e.g. N-[3-(3,4-dimethylphenyl)propyl]-4-(2- aminoethoxy)-3-methoxyphenylacetamide. The compd. is prepd. through a process for reacting a compd. of formula II with a compd. of formula III to form a compd. of formula IV, a process for reacting the compd. of the formula IV with CH3BrCH2Br to form a compd. of formula V, a process for reacting the compd. of the formula V with NaN3 to form a compd. of formula VI and a process for reducing the compd. of the formula VI.
