Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the new subject compound, excellent in dissolution properties, and useful for an optical recording material, a photosensitizer, a photoconductive material, etc., by reacting 4,5-dicyano-1,2-bis (dialkylphosphorylmethyl) benzene with a metallizing agent, etc., in a solvent.
CONSTITUTION: This method for producing a new phthalocyanine compound comprises a octakis-phosphorylmethylphthalocyanine expressed by formula I [M is two H, a divalent metal atom, a trivalent metal atom having a substituent or a tetravalent metal atom having substituents; X is a group expressed by formula II (R is a 1-10C alkyl, an alkali metal or H)], dissolvable to a lower alcohol or an aqueous medium in a high concentration, useful in the field related to the optoelectronics such as an optical recording material for a laser light, a photosensitizer and a photoconductive material. This compound is obtained by reacting a new substance 4,5-dicyano-1,2-bis(dialkylphosphorylmethyl) benzene which is expressed by formula III and prepared by brominating 4,5-dicyano-o- xylene, and then reacting with a trialkylphosphite, with a metalating agent, etc.
