PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gene and a protein necessary for facilitating the use of a viral particle (spherical particle) derived from Pyrococcus furiosus by clarifying the biochemical properties of the particle.
SOLUTION: The amino acid sequence of a protein constituting the viral particle (spherical particle) and the gene encoding the protein are specified.
